Carson City deputies make arrests for obstructing, felony and misdemeanor warrants

A 28-year-old former Carson City resident was booked into jail Wednesday after being extradited for felony and misdemeanor warrants from 2013, a sheriff's deputy said.
Ryan James Palmer of Sunapee, New Hampshire, was taken into custody at 12:45 a.m. The felony warrant alleged possession of a controlled substance. It was issued April 2013. The misdemeanor warrant was issued May 31, 2013. The felony warrant had a no bail hold in lieu of a hearing. The misdemeanor warrant has a $3,000 bail amount.
In other arrests:
— A 42-year-old Mound House man was arrested Wednesday, 12:25 p.m. in the area of Highway 50 East and Airport Road for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued April 23, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday in the 500 block of Linda Kay Court for misdemeanor obstructing an officer.
According to the arrest report, a sheriff's deputy was called to investigate an intoxicated driver called into dispatch by a reporting party. During the investigation the suspected driver became uncooperative with the deputy and began to walk away while being questioned.
The officer told the woman she was not free to leave as he was conducting an investigation. The woman continued to walk away to the door of a residence as she was being questioned, the arrest report states.
The deputy called for a cover unit as the woman was intoxicated and wouldn't allow the officer to detain her for questioning. The woman continued to walk away and she was arrested for obstructing and delaying an investigation into her allegedly driving her vehicle home while intoxicated. Bail: $412.
