Nevada's unemployment rate down slightly in July; Carson City at 4.8 percent
Nevada's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.3 percent in July 2023, down slightly by a 0.1 percentage point from June 2023, according to figures released in a report Tuesday from the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.
Seasonally adjusted estimates account for regularly seen economic patterns, with the following estimates not seasonally adjusted.
In the three Metropolitan Statistical Areas, the July unemployment rates were 4.8 percent in the Carson City area; 4.4 percent in Reno and 6.1 percent in the Las Vegas area.
In Nevada’s counties, the lowest unemployment rate was in White Pine County at 3.8 percent, and Nye County had the highest rate at 7.2 percent.
