Car wash Saturday at CHS to benefit Carson High Girls and Boys Soccer Program

Are you in need of a good car cleaning? Come to Carson High School on Saturday, August 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and support the Carson High School Girls and Boys Soccer Program. Pre-sale is $5 a vehicle. At the car wash, it is $7 to $10 depending on the size of the vehicle. Carson High School is located at 1111 N. Saliman Road.

The Carson City School District is pleased to announce a new school-based initiative aimed at enhancing the educational environment and minimizing distractions in classrooms. Starting August 19, 2024, all middle and high school students will be required to place their cellphones and other smart technology devices in locking pouches during school hours.

Tami Force will speak on Nevada Ghost Towns at Dangberg Home Historic Ranch on Saturday, August 10, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Tami Force has been exploring ghost towns, mining camps, and back roads for 30 years. Force loves learning about some of the more unusual ghost towns and locations in Nevada and beyond. Her goal has been to photograph, document and share the history of these places with others.
