Nevada DMV kiosk now available at Smith's grocery store in Carson City
Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles has added a new kiosk in Carson City at Smith's grocery store.
DMV customers can skip the trip to the DMV entirely by using the kiosk installed at the store, located at 599 East William Street.
“The DMV Now Kiosks play an essential role in providing our customers numerous services within minutes,” said Director Tonya Laney in a news release. “This is a very exciting day now that we are branching outside of our Carson City building and allowing people to conduct their business off property.”
Nevada DMV says kiosk transactions are "simple and fast" and include the following services:
— Registration renewals
— Duplicate registration and decal
— Driver history printout
— Insurance suspension reinstatement
Nevada DMV kiosks charge an additional processing fee of $4 for registration renewals and duplicates and $1.25 for all other transactions, the release states. All services offered on the kiosks are available online as well.

“We’re really trying to make the experience at the DMV as convenient as possible,” added Laney. “Watch for more online services in the coming months including registration for new Nevada residents, private party sales and vehicles purchased out of state.”
