Record Turnout for Nevada Artists Association Carson City Photography Exhibit
The Nevada Artists Association has received a record number of entries for it's annual photo exhibition in Carson City.
A judged event, local and regional artists were invited to enter two photos for display in the NAA Gallery exhibit which opened Sunday, August 6, and which will run through Sept. 8, 2017.
The exhibit was open to all area photographers and drew 60 entries from 32 photographers, which makes it the largest photo show since the gallery opened in 1979.
Judges awarded first, second, third and honorable mention. A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, August 12, 1 to 4 p.m.
The public is invited to come see the exhibit, meet the artists and partake of refreshments.
Along with the photographic art there are also paintings, sculptures, and fine glass and jewelry pieces on display.
All photos and art pieces are for sale. Admission to the gallery is free. For more go to www.nevadaartist.org . Located at Carson City's Brewery Arts Center complex, 449 West King Street, the exhibit is open Tuesday through Sunday. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
