Fire crews respond to brush fires east of Gardnerville and in the Pine Nut Mountains
UPDATE: The Fish Springs fire is contained and controlled. The Sunrise Fire in the Pine Nut Mountains is 60 percent contained as of Tuesday morning, with no fire growth overnight.

UPDATE 8:23PM: The fire in the Fish Springs area was reportedly 0.1 of an acre, while the Sunrise Fire in the Pine Nut Mountains has been resized to 5.3 acres, according to Minden dispatch.

Fire crews from East Fork Fire and other agencies are working two fires Monday evening in Douglas County. There's a brush fire reported east of Gardnerville and east of Jacobsen Lane in the Fish Springs area. There's also a brush fire burning in the Pine Nut Mountains, east of Minden.
According to Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center and WildCAD, the Sunrise Pass fire in the Pine Nut Mountains is about 15 acres. It was reported at 3:46 p.m. and was burning uphill in pinyon/juniper with a moderate to fast rate of speed.
The Jacobsen fire east of Gardnerville was reported just after 6 p.m. There's a light column of smoke showing, according to Eastern Sierra Fire and Ice, which reports on regional weather and fire incidents.
