Woman jailed for suspicion of DUI after boyfriend clipped by vehicle, Carson City deputy report says
A 21-year-old woman was arrested Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI following an incident in which she admitted to being intoxicated and mistakenly clipped her boyfriend in her vehicle after he was attempting to get away from her.
The woman was taken into custody 11:54 p.m. in the 1400 block of Koontz Lane for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI following an investigation. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area for a report of a male and female yelling at each other.
Deputies arrived and made contact with a man located on the roadway, who stated his girlfriend had clipped him with her vehicle. The man denied medical attention while on scene. He stated he and the woman had been drinking at a bar earlier and that the two got into a verbal argument.
The man stated he gathered his belongings from the woman's car and began to walk home. The man stated the woman followed him for a short time, and drove by a first time and asked him to get into the car. He stated he told her no, and she drove away, the report states.
A short time later he said he had been clipped from behind by a car. He stated it was his girlfriend who clipped him and that it wasn't like her to do something like that and that she stopped and tried several times to help him, the arrest report states.
Deputies interviewed the female who was extremely upset and emotional. The officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol on the woman's breath. She was read her Miranda warning and agreed to speak. She told a deputy she had drove by her boyfriend and asked him to get into the car and he refused.
She stated she left and came back a few minutes later, when she clipped the man with her car. She stated she didn't mean to hit him but due to her drinking she misjudged the distance between him and her car, the arrest report states.
She stated she got out and checked on the man, who she said that he told her several times to go away and that is when she drove off. She stated she came back to the scene when she saw emergency lights, the report states.
The woman was placed into custody for suspicion of DUI. She provided field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. She provided a preliminary breath test of .182.
The arrest report noted the arresting deputy stated he would be submitting an affidavit for possible battery with a vehicle. Bail: $1,137.

— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday at a Hamilton Avenue residence for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area at 11:53 p.m. for an unknown problem. Dispatch advised several 911 calls had been placed regarding an incident.
Deputies arrived on scene and began an investigation. During an altercation, the suspect allegedly climbed on the roof of the victim's car, stomping on it, causing a dent. The victim stated she broke a beer bottle on the suspect's motorcycle and that he then grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground and began kicking her.
The victim showed deputies a clump of hair that had been ripped from her head when she said the man grabbed her. The victim had slight abrasions on the tops of her feet and stated she had been kicked repeatedly in the side while on the ground. The victim's glasses were found broken in the driveway along with one of her shoes and some long blonde hair, the report states.
A deputy observed several large footprints on the hood, windshield and roof of the victim's vehicle. Witnesses nearby stated they heard arguing outside between the victim and suspect and heard the sounds of objects being hit and thrown.
The suspect refused to speak with deputies about the incident. Based on the evidence discovered on the scene and statements from witnesses, deputies determined a domestic battery happened and that the man was the primary aggressor. He was arrested. Bail: $3,137.
— A 34-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Monday morning in the 500 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI.
According to the arrest report, a deputy patrolling the area observed a vehicle without license plates traveling northbound on Carson Street. The deputy observed the vehicle cross over the solid white line several times, nearly striking the curb. The officer made a traffic stop and spoke with the driver.
The officer could smell and odor of alcohol coming from her person. She had slurred speech and red, watery eyes. She agreed to field sobriety tests, and showed signs of impairment, the report states. She provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .184. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI. She consented to a blood draw at jail. Bail: $1,137.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 7:12 p.m. in the 800 block of Saliman Road for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to an apartment complex regarding a man who was had been yelling, screaming, and drawing attention to others inside the complex, disturbing the peace.
One of those reporting the disturbance agreed to complete a statement and a citizen's arrest form for disorderly conduct. The man was arrested for suspicion of disorderly conduct. He provided a breath sample of .233. Bail: $242.
— A 41-year-old Carson City woman, Dawn Kesa Pascal, and 41-year-old man, Joseph Harvey Fontaine, were arrested Saturday for suspicion of felon drug possession, suspect methamphetamine.
Fontaine was also arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor being an ex-felon failing to register, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts violation of department of alternative sentencing conditions. Bail: $9,879. Pascal was arrested for suspicion of possession of suspected methamphetamine, a felony, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,137.
