Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, Inc. (RSVP) has free Farmers Market coupons for Carson City low income seniors through the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).

Weekly Summer Outdoor Family Movie Night at Mills Park will present Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, courtesy of the Carson City Classic Cinema Club, Garrett Lepire, and Carson City Parks and Rec. The previously scheduled "UP" has been changed to Aug. 5. Kids activities with an Indiana Jones theme begin at 8:30 p.m. Mills Park is located at 1111 E. William Street.

Weekly open air vintage market hits downtown Carson City throughout the summer

The market will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from June through September and is free to the public. Shoppers will be able find antiques, arts and crafts, collectibles, furniture, general swap merchandise, and more.

Summer DIY Succulent Garden Class

Create and learn how to care for your very own succulent garden. MidTown Marketplace will be hosting a DIY Succulent Garden class on July 10th from 10am-12pm. St. Mary's Art Center, a non-profit organization located in the former 1876 St. Mary Louise Hospital in historic Virginia City, is hosting its Fall Art Reception on October 12, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes live music by Brother Dan, light refreshments, a new exhibit by Las Vegas artist Kim Johnson, and access to all seven art galleries spanning across four floors.

A number of Carson City residents became concerned after they received what some are calling rather confusing voting instructions in the mail.

The mailer states that individuals should update their signatures in their voter registration to assist in streamlining voting. However, there is no section on the mailer to provide a signature, or any information required to verify the signature is coming from the designated voter.

A 35-year-old man was arrested Monday for alleged misdemeanor criminal contempt, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
