Airplane makes emergency landing on US-50 in Dayton
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, a plane made an emergency landing on Highway 50 at Pradere in the Dayton area on Friday.
At approximately 12:17 p.m. the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to a report of a propeller plane that landed on the US-50 eastbound travel lanes at mile marker 5 in Lyon County. (Near the Dayton airport).
No vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported from the incident.
Two eastbound travel lanes on the US50 were blocked temporarily. Traffic was able to get through in single lanes.
The plane was taken, via US-50 eastbound, to Silver Springs Airport. The incident is being investigated by the FAA.
