Carson City Rotarians tour Nevada State Capitol Building
Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City enjoyed a tour of the Nevada State Capitol Building this week. The tour was part of the club’s commitment to fostering strong community connections.
Rotarian Bart Carrillo organized the tour when he realized many club members had never actually been inside the Capitol. “In discussing the possibility of a Capitol tour with some of our members it became apparent that some of them, although living in Carson for some time, had never visited the Capitol,” he said. “Plus, the docent, Gene Dunker is an informative and entertaining guide which makes the tour an outstanding experience.”
Fellow Rotarian, Garrett Lepire, agrees. ““Getting a chance to tour our historic Capitol was a special experience,” he explained. Having the opportunity to learn all about the history of our great state, in a small group setting, with fellow Rotarian’s who shared their stories and Rotary humor, is one of favorite things I’ve taken in part in this far in Rotary.”
Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City tour local businesses and other establishments several times a year.
