Nevada's gaming revenue in May shows continued rebound, up 8 percent in fiscal year

Carson City area casinos, which include those in Carson Valley, Minden and Gardnerville, saw gaming revenue of $12,195,579 for the month of May, according to figures released Wednesday from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,230,165,971 for May 2021. Because of the lockdown of Nevada casinos in May 2020, this amounts to a 20,970.94 percent increase compared to May 2020, when licensees reported a gaming win of $5,838,212.

For the fiscal year (July 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021), gaming win has increased 8.09 percent.

Elsewhere, south shore Lake Tahoe casinos saw gaming revenue of $20,293,167 in May, while Reno saw its "gaming win" at $65,832,165.

A private California investor has purchased Shenandoah Villas, a 78-unit multifamily apartment complex in Carson City. The property sold for $9.75 million, or $125,000 a unit.
