Arrest made after structure fire on south Minnesota Street investigated as arson
UPDATE 12:52AM: The fire was knocked down just before 9:30 a.m. The cause of Tuesday morning's fire at Minnesota and Sixth Street is under investigation and arson is suspected with a man in custody. No injuries were reported.
Devin Mathews was arrested in connection with the fire and has a $40,000 bail amount, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
Two dogs were reportedly inside the home at the time. Both dogs have been accounted for.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Tuesday morning to a structure fire in the 600 block of South Minnesota Street.
The call came into dispatch just after 9 a.m. Arriving firefighters said smoke is coming out of the second story of the building. The fire has been classified a "working incident" and resources have been called to the fire.
Motorists are advised to stay out of the area.
