Carson City sheriff’s detectives investigate armed robbery at O’Reilly Auto Parts
UPDATE 2:53PM: Carson City Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Monday night at O’Reilly Auto Parts on North Carson Street.
The crime happened at around 10 p.m. after the store had closed, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. Clerks told investigators that two men entered the back of the auto parts store, presented a pistol and baseball bat and then robbed the store of its daily intake money.
One suspect was described as a black male approximately 5'8"-5'10" with a slim build and was wearing a blue and gray sweatshirt with blue jeans. The white male suspect was approximately 6'2"-6'4" with a stocky build and
was wearing a light colored shirt and jeans.
The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark SUV with large chrome rims.
The white suspect had a scarf over his face and was well over six feet tall. The black suspect did not cover his face. Both men are thought to be in their 20s.

Recent arrests:
— A 38-year-old Carson City woman, Kimberly Jean Douglass, was booked into jail Monday, 11 a.m. on a felony warrant for violation of bail conditions. She’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing. She had been awaiting extradition to Carson City from White Pine County jail since June 14.
— A 20-year-old Reno woman, Rachel Jones, was booked into jail Tuesday, 12:15 a.m. on a felony warrant alleging grand larceny and a misdemeanor warrant for conspiracy to commit petit larceny, a gross misdemeanor. Bail: $10,000.
— A 42-year-old Gardnerville woman was booked into jail Tuesday, 12:115 a.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued June 14, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail; $3,000.
— A 27-year-old Silver Springs woman was booked Monday, 6 p.m. into Carson City Jail on a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued Dec. 18, 2012 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Monday, 2:03 p.m on a misdemeanor warrant, contempt of court, issued June 8, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
