Carson City-based Sausage Factory gourmet meats now available at Raley's

In time for summer and the July 4 holiday weekend, Carson City's own Sausage Factory now has its products in 14 Raley's supermarkets throughout Northern Nevada.
Shoppers can find 18 varieties of the gourmet sausage, made exclusively in Carson City, in the meat department of any of the grocery stores, said Sausage Factory President Joe Tonino.
"We're proud to be in such a high quality store here in Northern Nevada. Our product line matches well in their meat case," said Tonino.
Raley's stores can be found at Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Carson Valley and in the Reno-Sparks area. A Sausage Factory representative is making visits and giving samples away during weekends throughout the summer at each of the stores
Sausage Factory also carries its products in Scolari's supermarkets and for the third consecutive year is the official hot dog and gourmet sausage vendor for the Reno Aces, a deal that keeps getting better as the popularity of the minor league baseball franchise continues to grow.
"Our numbers are up and that means the Aces fans are loving our hot dogs and sausages," said Tonino. "It is a really great venue for us."
Now with the Raley's agreement in place and the sales associated with the Reno Aces, consumers have easier access to the product, which is known for using whole cuts of lean meats instead of trimmings, water filler, smoke and sugars like its competitors.
Among the most popular products are the All Beef Brisket Dog, the Aces Pork and Beef Dog, the Beer Cheese Brat with Wild Horse Amber Ale from Great Basin Brewery, the Cooked Corned Beef Sausage, the Italian Sausage and new this year, the Tri-Tip Dog. It has also been developing a sausage that will be fused with Icky IPA Beer from Great Basin Brewing Company. The Wisconsin-style beer brat will be available in the coming weeks, said Tonino.
