Carson City Planning Commission to discuss multifamily project renewal, radio tower appeal
The Carson City Planning Commission will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday, June 26 beginning at 5 p.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William St.
The agenda includes renewal of a proposed multifamily project permit, a radio tower appeal, among other items.
— Carson Luxury Housing LLC is proposing to construct a 12-unit multifamily project within the Stafford Greens Planned Unit Development on a property zoned Neighborhood Business near Stafford Way and Silver Sage Drive. A special use permit was approved for the project on Feb. 22, 2023; however, the applicant has experienced delays in obtaining permits and the SUP expired.
— An appeal will be heard regarding a denial of a building permit to construct a 62-foot-tall amateur radio tower on a property zoned single family one acre. The permit was denied based on the height; amateur radio structures are allowed within residential zoning so long as they do not exceed 40 feet.
— Commissioners will discuss an application to construct a 3,702 square foot detached barn on a single family two acre property for use in a therapeutic riding stable business which would hold a maximum of four therapy program horses living on-site.
— Commissioners will discuss several SUPs regarding billboard retainment from a number of businesses within Carson City.
