A Carson City man arrested last week on felony warrant charges and was considered a person of interest in a June 1 armed robbery of a woman in the driveway of her residence, has formally been charged with the crime, a Carson City sheriff’s lieutenant said.
Jac Owen, 24, was arrested June 11 at a Jumbo Way home on three unrelated outstanding felony warrants. A warrant for robbery with use of a deadly weapon was issued today, Wednesday, and he was booked on that warrant, said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Lt. Brian Humphrey.
A second suspect, identified as 29-year-old Ricky Adams, also of Carson City, remains at large. He is believed to be in a black four-door Honda Civic with Nevada plates 299XRH. He is considered to be potentially armed and dangerous.
In the robbery earlier this month, two men followed the victim from Casino Fandango to her Sonoma Street residence just after 3 a.m.
When the victim’s vehicle pulled into the driveway, one of the two suspects approached the woman, pointed a pistol at her, and demanded money or he would shoot her. The second man took the victim’s purse from the woman’s vehicle. The suspects then fled in a pickup.
Anyone with information about the location of Adams can contact the Carson City Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 775.887.2008, Secret Witness at 775.322.4900, Detective Doug Speegle at 775.283.7852 or Lt. Brian Humphrey at 775.283.7850.
