Carson City sheriff's deputies make domestic battery, theft and warrant arrests
A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday in the area of Kit Sierra Way for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called at 7:39 p.m. to the area for a report of domestic battery. Arriving deputies met with the suspect, who admitted there was pushing going on between him and his girlfriend regarding naked pictures he found of her on her cell phone, the report states.
Deputies interviewed the woman who confirmed the argument was over the pictures, that he would not give her the phone back and that she chased him around the yard and back into the front door of the residence.
She said the man accidentally closed the front door on her hand, which was in the door frame and continued to close the door on her hand, the arrest report states. She said she was able to free herself and climbed through the front window to get back into the residence.
The argument continued inside the residence until sheriff’s deputies arrived. Deputies observed scratches on the woman’s face, neck and arms. Her knuckles were bleeding due to the door being closed on her hand. The man had some scratches on his arm, the arrest report states. Bail: $3,137.
In other arrests:
— A 29-year-old Carson City man, Jacob Allen Jarrard, was arrested June 2 for a priority 5 parole and probation warrant through the Department of Parole and Probation. He was placed on a no-bail hold in lieu of a hearing.
— A 42-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 9:45 p.m. in the 3500 block of Highway 50 East for misdemeanor contempt of court warrant and misdemeanor obstructing.
According to the arrest report, the man allegedly had been trespassing on the property of a motel and the motel manager wanted him removed from the property. The man gave deputies a name that wasn’t his, spelling it differently. Bail: $1,412.
— A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 11:29 p.m. in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued May 12 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 30-year-old Minden man was arrested Wednesday, 12:15 a.m. for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $3,000 cash only.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 5:38 p.m. in the 2100 block of East William Street for misdemeanor failure to appear in traffic court warrant. Bail: $740.
— A Washoe Valley woman was arrested Wednesday, 6:47 p.m. in he 3800 block of South Carson Street for possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, a gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor suspicion of petit larceny.
According to the arrest report, the woman grabbed items from the cosmetic section of a store, hid them in her purse and attempted to leave without paying. Found in the woman’s purse was a single loose Alprazolam pill in which she did not have a prescription bottle on her person to verify she had a prescription. Bail: $2,852.
