Carson City Library kicks off new Sunday hours with Sundaes on Sunday
The Carson City Library began its first Sunday with its doors open to the public with Sundaes on Sunday. Library volunteers served sundaes to guests and encouraged them to check out a new book. Beginning this month the library will be open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Extending the library hours to include Sundays will allow children, students, parents and community members to enjoy more time at the library. Among those on hand for the event was Carson City Supervisor Lori Bagwell. Beginning this month the library will open at 11 a.m. on the weekdays to make up for the new Sunday schedule. The library has planned events for the rest of the week to celebrate its new hours.
