Carson City sheriff’s deputies make 2 domestic battery, multiple warrant arrests
A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday afternoon in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man was determined to have aggressive behavior directed at the victim. He allegedly yelled and screamed at female victim with a child in the home, walked toward her in a threatening manner, threw all the food from the refrigerator on to the floor, allegedly battered the victim’s father and had been drunk for three straight days. Bail: $3,137.
In other arrests:
— A 53-year-old man was arrested Monday at a North Carson Street motel for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. The suspect, of Fernley, was taken into custody after deputies were dispatched to a motel in the 800 block of Carson Street for a report of domestic battery.
The suspect was witnessed by another person arguing with a woman, grabbing her neck and pulling her into a motel room.
Officers spoke with the victim who said the two had been arguing and that he slapped her in the face. She told a deputy she scratched the man in self defense. The suspect, who denied any physical battery against the woman, blew a preliminary breath test of .296. Bail: $3,137.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man, Stig Strong, was booked into Carson City Jail on Monday, 7:13 p.m. for a felony probation violation warrant issued Jan. 16, 2016 out of Carson City District Court. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 23-year-old Dayton man, Matthew Marizza, was booked into Carson City jail on Monday, 12:15 p.m. for a felony warrant, violation of bail conditions and misdemeanor contempt of court. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 32-year-old Fallon man was booked into Carson City jail on Monday, 2:30 p.m. for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of a suspended sentence, issued April 12 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Monday, 10 a.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued April 28 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $740.
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Monday, 6:15 p.m. for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued May 1 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
