At the end of April, when announcing the Nevada United: Roadmap to Recovery plan, Gov. Sisolak laid out five criteria State officials would monitor as the State began a gradual, phased in reopening process.

Carson City Car chase suspect in custody in Douglas County
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 05/01/2020 - 8:38pmOn May 1, 2020 at 11:45 am Carson City Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) located a stolen red Audi 2 door motor vehicle stolen out of California, in Carson City, Nevada.
CCSO attempted to stop the Audi but the driver failed to stop his motor vehicle. CCSO chased the Audi into Douglas County, Nevada and requested assistance from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO).
Nevada Secretary of State: 2020 Primary Election Mail-in Ballots on the Way to Nevada Voters
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 05/01/2020 - 8:27pmNevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske announces that county election officials have begun to mail out 2020 primary election ballots and that voters can expect to receive their ballot in the mail in the next two weeks.
Voters in some counties may even begin to receive their ballots in the mail as early as May 1. Secretary Cegavske previously announced that the 2020 primary election would be a vote-by-mail election due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
May 1 Update: Four new cases in Quad-County region brings total cases to 96

This brings the total number of cases to 96, with 50 recoveries and one death, 45 cases remain active.
Carson City lifts closures on select outdoor recreation activities

Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department will be reopening the following facilities with restrictions to ensure the health and safety of staff and participants. If you do not feel well, please stay home.
