Carson City deputies arrest 72-year-old woman at local funeral home for possession of an ID without consent
A 72-year-old transient woman was arrested at a local funeral home for possession of an ID without the consent of the owner Thursday afternoon.
According to the report, Victoria Lynn Mynear was arrested on the felony charge after deputies responded to the funeral home for a report of a woman sleeping on the grass outside.
When deputies arrived they made contact with Mynear and asked for her identification. As she was looking through her belongings, deputies observed a Minnesota driver’s license.
Deputies asked if she was from Minnesota and she said yes. Deputies asked to see the ID they had spotted in her belongings and she provided them with the drivers license which had a name different than her own.
Dispatch advised the person on the driver’s license was valid.
Deputies placed Mynear under arrest for possessing a state issued driver’s license.
She was transported to the Carson City Jail without incident.
