Carson City's local Pokemon Go! club catches trash at Litter Mob clean up
Carson City's Pokemon Go! club gave back to the community on Monday by meeting up for a trash cleanup, while also catching some Pokemon.
Pokemon Go! is a popular mobile game in which players can "catch" virtual Pokemon on their phones through the app while on walks, encouraging exercise in players of all ages.
The group cleaned the bike path beside Fremont Elementary School on Saliman Road Monday from 10 a.m. to noon in honor of earth day, beginning at the Hope Crossing Community Church.
"We had a lot of fun," said Raquel Gonzales-Rivera, Pokemon enthusiast and organizer of the trash mob. "The church thanked us and we had many bikers and pedestrians thanking us on the way!"
