Carson City's Long Ranch Park to see more than $291K in improvements
Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space and public works will be replacing pedestrian access ramps and broken, lifted concrete panels at Long Ranch Park and patch sections of the asphalt path system in and around the 7-acre park.
As part of the city’s efforts to reinvest in aging parks infrastructure, this $291,392 project is funded from a Community Development Block Grant, City Capital Improvement Project, and Quality of Life funds will focus on safety and ADA improvements at Long Ranch Park, located on the west side of Carson City between Longview Way, Walterford Place, Bristol Place, and Thames Lane.
The city’s goal is to provide a safer walking environment for the public and for individuals of all ages and abilities. The project will begin on April 15, 2019 at Long Ranch Park by MNW Construction and these improvements are anticipated to take approximately two months. Long Ranch Park and the path system will remain open and the public is being asked to avoid all construction zones.
