Carson City sheriff's log: Stateline man accused of statutory sexual seduction, luring a child by computer
A 23-year-old Stateline man was booked Thursday into Carson City Jail on felony charges of suspicion statutory sexual seduction and luring a child by computer, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Jordan Frasier Schroeder, a Tramway Drive resident, was brought by Douglas County authorities to Carson City to face the charges, issued April 6, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $30,000.
In other arrests and bookings: A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 1:33 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Stewart Street on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. According to the arrest report, a deputy on routine patrol spotted a vehicle running in a parking lot with the suspect inside sleeping behind the wheel.
The vehicle was running and the keys were in the ignition with the driver having physical control of the vehicle, the arrest report states. The officer knocked on the window several times to wake up the man. He finally woke and the officer told him to roll down the window, the man instead opened the door. The officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and the man.
While walking to the officer he had to side step to try and stay up, the arrest report states, and while he stood with the officer he swayed back and forth. The officer told him to lean against the vehicle so he would not fall over. During the field sobriety tests he showed all signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath sample with a .226.
A deputy found a glass pipe with marijuana residue in it and a clear bag with marijuana in the vehicle. He was arrested and booked DUI first offense, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,011.
— A 27-year-old Sacramento man, Rocio Sanchez, was booked into Carson City jail Wednesday, 2:37 p.m. on a felony fugitive from justice warrant issued out of Santa Clara Superior Court. He is being held without bail awaiting extradition.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Wednesday, 2:45 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, petit larceny, issued April 7, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the Wednesday in the area of Winnie Lane and Carson Street on a misdemeanor warrant, for animal noise or nuisance, issued Nov. 17, 2011 out of Dayton Justice Court. Bail: $112.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 7 p.m. in the 3200 block of Imperial on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear in traffic court, issued Nov. 10, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $955.
— A 31-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Wednesday, 5:48 p.m. in the area of Bath and Nevada streets on a misdemeanor warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $1,942.
— A 41-year-old Portola, Calif., man was arrested Wednesday, 11:36 p.m. on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant, issued March 27, 2000 out of Second Judicial Court in Washoe County. Bail: $1,000.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
