Carson City arrests: Driver jailed for DUI following pursuit says he never saw emergency lights
A 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Tuesday for multiple offenses related to an alleged DUI, where the driver failed to yield when a sheriff's deputy attempted to make a traffic stop.
According to a booking report from the Carson City Sheriff's Office, a deputy patrolling the area of West Koontz Lane and South Carson Street observed a vehicle perform a high speed turn into a grocery store parking lot, then going through a drive-thru and then driving to another parking lot, where he accelerated and made another high speed turn onto Koontz Lane without slowing or coming to a complete stop.
The officer attempted to make a traffic stop on the driver, activating his red and blue lights.
