As an active partner in the state’s workforce investment system, DETR works in partnership with federal, state, local and non-profit agencies to offer Veterans of U.S. Military service quality employment and training resources through a statewide network of the agency’s JobConnect offices. This work has included online supports during the pandemic.
The agency also partners with Nevada employers who are strongly committed to providing job opportunities for Veterans through training, re-training, and on-the-job training partnerships. This exceptional private/public relationship is integral to providing a high caliber of reemployment services for men and women who have served our nation.
The Employee Veteran of the Month award initiative began in January 2021 and each month an employee veteran is recognized by the Nevada Department of Administration Director and the Administrator of the Division of Human Resource Management.
