Emergency crews, Care Flight respond to multi-vehicle crash at SR-88 and Kimmerling in Gardnerville
UPDATE 4:27PM: There are a total of four people who have been taken to the hospital. One person was flown by Care Flight and three others taken to the hospital via ground ambulance, according an East Fork Fire Battalion Chief. Four others were evaluated and did not require medical transport. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Emergency crews from East Fork Fire, Tahoe Douglas and Carson City have responded to a crash Tuesday afternoon involving three vehicles near the intersection of State Route 88 and Kimmerling Road in Douglas County.
The crash was reported just after 3:30 p.m. There's reportedly three vehicles involved, with one person trapped in one of the vehicles.
A Care Flight air ambulance has also responded as well as Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol. At least three people are being taken by ambulance and three others are being evaluated at the scene.
Traffic is blocked near the roadways. State Route 88 was closed at Kimmerling. Motorists can expect delays. We will update as more information becomes available.
