Two men sought for questioning in connection to a homicide Tuesday in El Dorado County, Calif., were taken into custody early Wednesday morning with the assistance of Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT.
El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office received information the men were in Carson City and at a home in the 1200 block of Palo Verde Drive. A search warrant was granted and at around 6 a.m. the Carson City Sheriff’s Office SWAT was deployed to secure the residence in order for El Dorado County sheriff's investigators to enter the home.
Four people were detained, two adult men and two women. The two men were the ones sought for questioning as persons of interest by west slope investigators with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, according to an EDCSO investigator on scene. Both men had fugitive from justice warrants.
The home was secured by SWAT members allowing safe entrance, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Capt. Jeff Melvin. One SWAT member suffered a minor ankle injury. No other injuries were reported.
According to an El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, investigators responded to a stabbing in the Cedar Grove area Tuesday afternoon in which three were involved in the altercation that resulted in the fatal stabbing of a man.
