Spaghetti dinner fundraiser to benefit Western Nevada College nurses
Support Western Nevada College’s nursing students by attending a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, March 14 at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City.
The dinner fundraiser, held in the Nevada Room at 606 Mountain Street in Carson City from 5 to 7:30 p.m., will assist the National Student Nursing Association Western Nevada Chapter in attending the NSNA convention in Nashville, Tenn., and help the nurses expand their knowledge so they can make a bigger difference in local and rural communities.
"Our nursing program has strong support from our college, and was just ranked in the top three nursing programs here in the state of Nevada," the WNC Student Nurses Association said. "Fundraising allows us to attend the annual NSNA convention to expand our knowledge, and thus give back to the community."
The association said more than 3,000 nursing students attend the NSNA convention, where they have the chance to network with potential employers and attend seminars to help prepare them.
In addition to the spaghetti dinner, there will be desserts and raffle prize drawings.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Space is limited, so reserve a spot as soon as possible by contacting Debi at 775-445-3334. Go here for the Facebook event page.
