Lake Tahoe casino manager abruptly resigns
MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa in Stateline, Nev., Lake Tahoe announced today that Jef Bauer, General Manager, resigned effective immediately.
Bauer served as General Manager since October 2010, according to a news release. A reason was not given.
The company is currently reviewing potential candidates for the position and plans to announce its new general manager in the near future. In the meantime, the South Tahoe property will continue its successful direction of aggressive promotions, entertainment, nightlife and tradition of fun for visitors and locals, alike, according to the release.
At MontBleu, Bauer oversaw day-to-day operations of the 437-room hotel and three restaurants, spa, a 16,000-sq. ft. convention center, a 1,400-seat showroom and 650 employees.
Before taking the lead manager position at MontBleu, Bauer was vice president and general manager of the Golden Casino Group: Golden Mardi Gras, Golden Gates and Golden Gulch casinos in Black Hawk, Colo.
