Construction continues on second Dutch Bros. in Carson City
The structure is up, but construction continues on the new Dutch Bros. store located on East William Street next door to Auto Zone.
Local franchise owners Andy and Jill Head said there is still no date set for opening the popular coffee retailer's second store in Carson City.
"Unfortunately, at this time we don't have a date yet," the Heads said through their Dutch Bros. Facebook page.
The Heads did not give an estimate or speculate on an opening date for their second store franchise, which is being built larger than the tiny drive-up kiosk-style coffee hut on the Carson Mall property at 1231 S. Carson Street.
They did not comment on what still needs to be done at the new store location.
The construction site is observed to have an erected building with Dutch Bros. franchise badging and colors, but the grounds are still unfinished. It's also not known what more needs to be done on the inside of the store.
The new store will be 500 square feet in size, the Heads had said, capable of handling a greater volume of customers with its drive-up and walk-up window service features.
The Heads said in an earlier story late last year that they hoped to open at the end of January 2017.
A hiring event was held this past weekend and the Dutch Bros. Carson City Facebook page shows it is still in the hiring process. The business is currently accepting resumes at the South Carson Street store to fill positions.
