Raising the Bar: Carson City Chamber lunch features city business development manager
As the city prepares to raise the bar by creating a new, improved, walkable and bicycle friendly downtown, it will not be business as usual for the businesses now located in the downtown core or anywhere in Carson City.
Nor will the current mindset be suitable for the vibrant new community now in the planning stages. Raising the bar on anything and everything in Carson City will be the topic of the Chamber’s February Soup’s On luncheon open to the public.
Michael Salogga will provide insight into how to raise the “collective” bar, beginning one at a time. It has been proven that the old adage, “keeping up with the Joneses,” can be a powerful motivator to increase visibility and the bottom line.
Chamber Soup’s On Luncheon “Raising the Bar” will be Wednesday, Feb. 24 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Gold Dust West in Carson City. The presentation is $16 and includes lunch.
Salogga is engaging and well qualified to present his view as to what it takes to become more successful personally and professionally. Even raising the bar one notch will make a major difference. He currently serves as the Business Development Manager for the City of Carson City and the Business Counselor for the Small Business Development Center serving four counties, including ours.
He is proficient in business counseling, website design, social media management and works with the teens at Carson High as an advisory member of the CHS Technical Skills Committee and as a Shark for the CHS business classes for the past three years. He also serves as a mentor for the Adams Hub incubator.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and MBA in Finance from San Diego State University and has been employed by the City of Carson City for over four years.
The luncheon presentation will be informative and interactive.
RSVP prior to Feb. 21 online at www.carsoncitychamber.com or by calling 882-1565.
