Man beaten, shots fired late Saturday night in Carson City
UPDATE: At least one suspect remains at large after a fight that erupted into gunfire shortly before midnight on John Street behind Bank of America. No one was injured by gunfire but a man was taken to the hospital after being assaulted, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Darrin Sloan. One shot went into the Bank of America building.

A man was injured in a battery in which shots were fired shortly before midnight in the area of John Street behind Bank of America.
Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies are searching for at least one, possibly two suspects. One shell casing has been recovered. Officers on the scene report there was an argument involving two, possibly three men when the shots were fired.
A witness reported they heard an argument, three shots fired and a vehicle speeding away.
The injured man was not shot but appeared to have been beaten. He sustained non life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Detectives have been called to investigate.
