Carson City Sheriff's Office patrol officers responded Wednesday night to shots fired into a residence in the 2200 block fo East Long Street.

A 60-year-old Carson City man was arrested Jan. 1 for suspicion of vehicle embezzlement, according to a sheriff's office booking report.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for the public's help in identifying subjects involved in a case being investigated involving shots fired at a residence early Thursday morning.

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.:

On March 27, 2020, at approximately 5:54 AM, a Nevada Highway Patrol Sergeant had stopped to assist a motorist on US-93 and White Pine county mile marker 106, north of Ely, NV. During this contact, the motorist open fired on Sgt. Ben Jenkins, who was struck and killed. The motorist stole the Sergeant’s uniform and fled the scene in Sgt. Jenkins’ patrol vehicle. Following a search that lasted several hours, the suspect, John Dabritz, a 65-year-old White Pine resident, was located and taken into custody with the assistance of multiple agencies.

A Carson City man was arrested Tuesday for multiple offenses related to a standoff that happened at a Morgan Mill Road residence in which multiple shots were fired inside and outside a home that was occupied by a 73-year-old woman, a sheriff's deputy report states.

UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff's Office responded and its SWAT was called Tuesday morning to a Morgan Mill residence after a man began shooting inside a home where his 73-year-old grandmother was hiding. The suspect is now in custody.

The female who was hiding is safe and was not injured in the incident, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road for suspicion of being in possession of a firearm while intoxicated after a bullet from a gun was discharged, by accident, into a neighbor's apartment, a Carson City sheriff's deputy report states.

A 41-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for felony suspicion of unlawful use of a Social Security number after the victim was informed it was already being used, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

The Nevada Highway Patrol arrested a 23-year-old Incline Village man Tuesday following a road rage incident in which the suspect allegedly fired a bb gun at another vehicle, shattering a window.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 6:05 AM, NHP Troopers were dispatched to US-50, approximately 30 miles east of Fallon, for a road rage incident involving two motorists. It was reported the driver of a gray Scion sedan fired a handgun at another vehicle.

A 49-year-old Reno man was arrested Thursday afternoon on the charges of obstructing an officer after deputies responded to a report of shots being fired at the Carson City Landfill.

A 50-year-old man was arrested Saturday in the area of Goni Road for felony suspicion of discharging a firearm in the city limits and misdemeanor possession of a firearm while intoxicated, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE: Investigators are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting that happened Monday afternoon west of South Lake Tahoe.

At approximately 1 p.m., detectives from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department became involved in a pursuit of a motorcycle, according to El Dorado County Sheriff's Sgt. Anthony Prencipe. Details are still being worked out, but from the early investigation, Prencipe said there were shots fired at the SLTPD detectives on SR89 near Luther Pass.

They pursued the motorcyclist and were joined by other law enforcement officers as the chase led them into El Dorado County and through the intersection with Highway 50. They then headed west to North Upper Truckee Road.

At that spot the motorcyclist was shot by SLTPD officers. Medical attention was given to the rider but he died at the scene.

The area is still surrounded by crime scene tape and Prencipe said it could be hours until it reopens. Also closed in SR89 at the scene of the initial shots. Motorists are not allowed between South Upper Truckee Road and Pickett's Junction.

There was an apparent shooting Monday afternoon in the Meyers area west of South Lake Tahoe after a chase involving law enforcement and a possible robbery suspect. An El Dorado County Sheriff's Office deputy said the shooting was officer-involved.

At approximately 12:49 am, July 21, 2018 the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of possible shots fired at the shopping center parking lot on Pine Cone Road in Dayton.

Carson City Emergency Dispatch reported shots fired at Denny's Restaurant, 2299 N. Carson Street in Carson City, shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday.

Nevada Highway Patrol is reported to have had one suspect held at gun point at the location. Carson City Sheriff's deputies were on scene to assist.

A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday in the 300 block of North Carson Street for felony suspicion of battery with a deadly weapon, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE: 12:40AM: One suspect in Saturday night's officer-involved shooting on Shadow Lane in the Sunridge neighborhood of Northern Douglas County is deceased, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office has Tweeted on Twitter.
Four Sheriff's deputies were involved in the incident and one deputy was transported with non-life threatening injuries.
The Carson City Sheriff's Office and Nevada Division of Investigations are handling the investigation.

UPDATE: 11:35PM: The Record-Courier in Gardnerville has reported that one person is reported dead and a Douglas County Sheriff's deputy was injured from an officer-involved shooting incident on Shadow Lane in Sunridge.

A 34-year-old Dayton man has been identified as the victim in Monday night's shooting at a Dayton shopping center parking lot, Lyon County authorities said.

UPDATE 10AM: One person is in custody, according to Lyon County Sheriff's Office spokesman Michael Carlson. Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for a person of interest who remains at large.

A male victim died of multiple gunshot wounds Monday night and two are in custody following a shooting that happened outside of a Dayton shopping center parking lot, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.

In the 1500 block of Long Street, a young man drinking excessively throughout the night decided to play with a loaded pistol Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. The police and an ambulance responded to a call of shots fired.

An 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday in the area of Mark and James streets for suspicion of felony drug possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Emergency dispatch reported shots fired at Walmart on Market Street in North Carson City at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Initial reports from dispatch were that a firearm had been accidentally discharged after being dropped, and a bullet had hit another patron.

DNA evidence that links a 74-year-old Reno man to threats made to a Carson City judge has been confirmed, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said Wednesday.

Investigators in Carson City closed a portion of Roop Street at Fifth and Little streets Wednesday as part of the follow up investigation of Tuesday's NHP involved shooting at the Senator Apartments.

UPDATE 2:46PM: The investigation into the Nevada Highway Patrol trooper involved shooting continues. At around 9:30 this morning, Carson City sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a report of a man with a gun inside the apartment manager's office and possible shots fired.

An 18-year-old Carson City man and a juvenile were arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly throwing rocks at three vehicles in the 1800 block of Marian Avenue, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE MONDAY: Two men were arrested Sunday night after a fight that resulted in gunfire at a Pheasant Drive residence. Matthew Joseph Premo, 20, was booked on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited from having a firearm and misdemeanor minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $70,242. Also arrested was Andrew Austin Toland, 22. He faces a felony burglary charge and misdemeanor violation of probation conditions. He was treated for a ricochet wound to his ankle. Bail: $23,000.
