Carson City man jailed in Douglas County on burglary charges
A Carson City man was arrested Monday and faces burglary charges after allegedly breaking into a Mica Drive bar, market and a residence, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Arrested was Christopher Qualls, 38, who is in custody at the Douglas County Jail with a bail of $100,210.
Douglas deputies responded to an alarm call at the All Star Bar and Grill. During the investigation, deputies located a door that had been forced open, said Sgt. Pat Brooks. Searching the area, deputies found a second door that had been forced open at the Carson County Market.
As the investigation into the commercial burglaries continued, a female called 911 to report a person was attempting to gain entry into her residence, which was not far from the burglaries. Deputies responded to the residence and met with the victim. Deputies searched the rear of the residence and located Qualls sitting next to the garage door, said Brooks.
Evidence was located to support an arrest for Qualls for the burglaries at the All Star Bar and Grill and the Carson Country Market.
