Carson City sheriff’s arrest log: Woman jailed for throwing mud on maintenance man

A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday in the 200 block of South Carson Meadows on a misdemeanor charge of battery after allegedly throwing mud at an apartment complex maintenance man, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the area at 3 p.m. after a report of an altercation. The woman allegedly approached the maintenance man as he was putting up a “for rent” sign on the property.
The victim told deputies the woman ran up to him, was verbally abusive with profanities, and then took several handfuls of mud and threw it at him. The man maintenance man, who deputies observed as having had mud on his jacket, made a citizen’s arrest complaint and the woman was taken into custody. Bail: $1,137.
In other arrests: A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday, 10:48 p.m. in the 300 block of Agate on a misdemeanor charge, violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, the woman went to the home of her ex-boyfriend in defiance of a “no contact” court order. The woman also texted the man and threatened to come over to his home and beat him up, the report states.
A deputy went to the woman’s residence and spoke with her. She said she was at the victim’s home at around 10 p.m., and that she had been in contact with him. Bail: $1,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 2:14 p.m. at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street on two contempt of court warrants and for allegedly asking customers for money. The man had been given a verbal warning by a Carson City sheriff’s sergeant a month prior after he was caught soliciting customers for money. He was found again doing it where it was learned he had the two outstanding warrants issued earlier Thursday. Bail: $3,622.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 12:49 a.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear in traffic court, issued Dec. 7, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. The man was stopped by a deputy for driving with all of his windows frosted over. A computer check showed the man had the outstanding warrant. Bail: $290.
— A 49-year-old Dayton man was arrested Thursday, 3:20 p.m. in the 7000 block of Highway 50 East on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear in traffic court, issued Dec. 31, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. According to the arrest report, the man was transferred from Lyon County sheriff’s deputies to Carson City for the warrant. Bail: $1,265.
— A Carson City man was booked into jail Thursday, 10 a.m. on a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Sept. 30, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 58-year-old transient was booked into jail Thursday, 1:30 p.m. on a contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 29, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
— A 53-year-old Reno man was booked into jail Thursday, 1:30 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, failure to appear in traffic court. The warrant was issued Dec. 7, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. The man was transferred to Carson City by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. Bail: $1,595.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Thursday, 10:26 a.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, second offense domestic battery, issued Jan. 27, 2016 out of Carson City Justice Court. According to the arrest report, the woman turned herself in on the warrant. Bail: $5,000.
