Carson City Supervisors to discuss contracts, grants, appointments at Feb. 7 meeting
On Thursday, Feb. 7 the Board of Supervisors and Redevelopment Authority will hold a meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Sierra Room of the Community Center, located at 851 East William Street.
Under discussion at the February meeting will be purchases and contracts, appointments in the Redevelopment Authority Citizen’s Community, grants for Parks and Recreation, and more.
The purchase of four additional Body Worn Camera Systems for the Carson City Sheriff’s Office will be up for approval, for an additional amount of $25,767.68 over a five-year period, funded from the 911 Surcharge Fund.
The Carson City Library, as a member of the Nevada Library Cooperative, owes dues in the form of $58,184.16 in what is essentially membership fees to have access to the range of online library services of the cooperative. Approval of the payment will be up for a vote. Anything over $50,000 must have approval of the Board of Supervisors.
Other contracts up for approval will be Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Rate Study Refresh with Farr West Engineering, for an amount not to exceed $93,772, and Federal Lobbying Services with Porter Group, LLC, for an amount of $49,800.
One member of the Carson City Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee will be appointed in the position of Business Operator or Property Owner to fill a term expiring in 2022.
The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department will be submitting a grant application to the Community Development Block Grant for ADA improvements at Ross Gold Park, requesting $150,000, with approval of the Board.
Contracts for construction companies will be discussed, for the projects of the Ann Street Sewer Replacement Project, estimated at $325,000, and the Storm Drain Improvements at Nevada DMV, estimated at $467,507.70.
