Carson City arrests: Deputies book three for warrants, woman jailed for disorderly conduct
A 60-year-old transient woman was booked into custody Tuesday in the 2200 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was called to a business and learned the woman took a cardboard box, paper towels, tissue paper and business cards and began to walk to a nearby campground. The owner of the business did not wish to press charges.
The deputy located the woman and spoke with her. Because the woman was homeless and appeared to have mental health issues the officer urged her to go to FISH where they could provide her temporary shelter. The woman walked away mumbling to herself, the arrest report states.
Around 30 minutes later dispatch advised a woman with the same description who was attempting to open car doors in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant. Deputies learned officers had been called and responded to issues with the woman over the past few days. Due to her actions at both businesses she was arrested at 12:59 p.m. for suspicion of disorderly conduct. During the search a deputy found the woman was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. Bail: $1,379.
