Carson City seeks public input on naming new parks
The Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department is seeking public input on naming the new disc golf facility on Flint Drive and new park in the Schulz Ranch Subdivision on Race Track Road.
These two new parks are currently under construction and are scheduled to be completed by mid to late spring of this year.
A quick survey is available to the public to vote on potential names or suggest alternative names for the parks. The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/carsoncityparknaming
Additionally, The Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space is considering rededicating and renaming the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center after a complete makeover of the theater’s auditorium will be completed in early February.
Alternate theater names are also presented in the public survey.
The deadline for completing the survey is 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21. Results from the survey will be presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center.
