Eagle Scout project brings volunteers, improvements to Carson River Park
Jacob Budd's Eagle Scout service project to improve and make repairs at Carson River Park took place Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019. Jacob worked closely with Gregg Berggren of Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department, to plan and carry out this project.
Approximately 44 volunteers gathered at Carson River Park Saturday morning to paint, level, and refurbished the park's monument sign, to level picnic tables, and to replace interpretive and safety signs along the trail to Mexican Ditch.
This park and the trails surrounding the Carson River are valuable to the community, and Jacob would like to thank Carson Parks and Rec, Gregg Berggren, and all those who came to lend a hand for this project.
