Families Talking Together class Dec. 4 in Dayton
“Families Talking Together” offers parents insights about how to talk to their children about sex.
Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties is hosting a free event where parents can learn more.
Free food and childcare are available during the event on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 6-8 p.m. at the Dayton Community Center, 170 Pike Street in Dayton. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

“Families Talking Together” is a two-hour class for parents of children ages 9 years and up. It covers the following:
— Techniques on when and how to talk to your youth about sex;
— Debunking teen sexuality myths;
— Education on STDs and Teen Pregnancy; and
— Addressing barriers and common reasons why parents don’t talk to their youth.
