Community Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day
There will be a Community Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day Saturday, Oct. 14. The event is open to the public, and individuals and companies are encouraged to participate and is a fundraiser to support the Special Olympics of Nevada. One hundred percent of the money collected will support local athletes.
Bring in your old confidential documents and have them professionally shredded on-site(no need to remove staples, paper clips or binder clips.
You can also bring in your old electronics to have them recycled.
Such as: computers, LCD monitors, fax machines, copiers, cell phones tablets, cameras, flat-screen TVs, etc. Sorry – no tube TVs or CRT monitors
When: Saturday, October 14th, 2017 from 9 a.m. to noon
Where: Corner of Curry St. and 3rd Street in Carson City (same parking lot as Farmer’s Market)
Cost: Suggested donation of $5 per standard file storage box (or equivalent) or electronic device Maximum of 50 boxes of shredding per person on shred day (call Offsite if you have more than 50).
Bonus: Donuts provided by SNAR and Coffee provided by Dutch Brothers ($5 donation suggested) BBQ hamburgers & hotdogs (w/ chips & drink) will be available after 10am ($5 donation suggested) Every $5 donated (shred, recycle or food) gets a raffle ticket for great prizes (need not be present) Additional raffle tickets available for $5 each.
