Family friendly summer fun isn’t just for Saturday nights at Brewery Arts Center. Enjoy 10 weeks of street food and musical acts presented by Yates Law P.C. from 5-8pm every Wednesday night from June 26 – August 28, 2024. Each week a variety of food trucks will circle the BAC Performance Hall parking lot and smaller acts will get a chance to play the big stage. There will also be family games and kids activities onsite to ensure fun for all ages.

Carson City Fire Department responded Sunday evening to the city landfill off Highway 50 East for a fire.

What’s the hardest job you ever had? Me too. Shoveling snow is by far the hardest job I ever had, because just when you think you’ve got it on the run, here comes some more. Of course this is nothing to first responders, firefighters or police officers. They make me feel like a Banana Slug, and my hat is off to them.

On Wednesday, the Carson City Planning Commission voted to deny a proposed Boat and RV Storage project located off of Emerson Drive.

On August 28th at approximately 10:59 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a mobile home park at 170 Koontz Lane in south Carson City for a reported Domestic Battery With a Deadly Weapon. A teenaged juvenile had reported on 911 that his father had stabbed his mother multiple times. The juvenile also reported that his father had cut himself severely and was “almost beyond help”.
