Carson City Moose Lodge Donates Toys to Carson Tahoe Emergency Department for Children in the ER
In December of last year Carson City Moose Lodge #2709 donated three dozen Tommy Moose toys to the Carson Tahoe Hospital Emergency Department.
These were so well received by the children in the ER that the call went out that more were needed. Last week Carson Moose Lodge delivered four more dozen.
Receiving them were: Dr. Dave Baker, Vice-President and Chief Medical Officer, Michelle Joy, President and CEO, Tami Stein, Philanthropy Specialist, and Nikki Kull, Community Outreach Coordinator.
Tami Stein stated, “We are incredibly grateful to the Moose Lodge for their generous hearts in providing Carson Tahoe with the Tommy Moose toys for children who come in to the emergency room. They bring a sense of comfort and security to our young patients during what can be a very stressful and frightening experience. The toys not only help sooth the children but also bring a bit of joy and normalcy to their hospital visit thus making a meaningful difference in the lives of our youngest patients and their families.”
Because of the success for all concerned the Moose Lodge is planning on making this an ongoing event and will return in December with more Tommy Moose toys.
