Reno resident and Air Force veteran Tony Grady announced his candidacy to be Nevada’s next Lieutenant Governor. Appearing on Sam Shad’s Nevada Newsmakers show this week, Tony remarked that he is running because he loves Nevada and the people he’s met throughout our State.

At a meeting recently, Carson City Democrats celebrated the fund raising efforts of its First Annual Plein Air Watercolor Competition. There was a $3,000 donation made to the C.I.R.C.L.E.S. Initiative for its work combating long term poverty and a $1,000 donation to a long standing scholarship fund at WNC targeted for Carson City students.

MINDEN — Douglas County Board of Commissioners awarded $125,200 in grant funding through the Community Grant Program to non-profit organizations that provide substantial benefit to residents of the community on January 6, 2022. Over the past 13 years, the Community Grant Program has awarded over $1,715,000 to help support countless non-profit organizations.
