This Saturday, the Greenhouse Garden Center in Carson City will host its 16th annual “Greenhouse Garden Art Fest” which acts a platform for artists to show and sell their work, musicians to serenade the community, all the while amongst the backdrop of the Greenhouse in full bloom.

Just about two years ago, the Bulldog Cyber Cafe quietly opened its doors in the Grocery Outlet shopping center beside Bulldog PC Repair. However, they quickly outgrew their space, and three months ago, the new Bulldog Cyber Cafe opened its doors at 251 Jeanelle Street in Carson City.

A 32-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in the 400 block of South Saliman Road on drug related charges and carrying a concealed weapon, a Carson City sheriff's report said.

The Nevada Department of Agriculture Animal Disease Laboratory has confirmed eight positive rabies cases in bats in Lyon, Washoe, White Pine, Clark and Elko counties. Rabies is common in bats throughout Nevada, and bat activity tends to increase between the months of May and October.

NV Energy reports damage to equipment is the cause behind a power outage Tuesday night in the Mound House area. The utility reports 428 customers are without power as of 9:30 p.m. The outage was reported to NV Energy at 7:47 p.m.

At around the same time as the outage, a brush fire was reported in the area. Those near the brush fire say it has been knocked down. NV Energy says power should be restored by 12:30 a.m.

Carson City Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 89-year-old woman who suffers from dementia and was last seen Monday afternoon.

Bring your own sketchbook and drawing utensil if you have it, but we will also have paper and pens for folks as well. Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water & sun protection. See you there!
