Carson City’s Downtown Vintage Market began selling their wares adjacent to the Carson City Farmer’s Market only this year. Now, they’re diving into Nevada Day with a event perfect for kids and grown ups alike.

The Northern Zone Nevada Music Educators Association held its annual Honor Choir and Honor Band auditions last month. More than 300 music students auditioned for the 4 groups made up of students from neighboring regions and school districts including Douglas, Dayton, Churchill and Yerington.

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City will host a Halloween Fun Shoot from 9 a.m.to 5:30 p.m. Fees will be discounted for all day and shooters who come in costume will receive one free round of twenty-five targets on a course of their choice. CARSON CITY — In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Carson High School NJROTC cadets sold pink aiguillettes to wear on their uniforms with all proceeds donated to the Carson Tahoe Health Cancer Center. The battalion provided an oversized check in the amount of $1,000 to Carson Tahoe Health representatives Angelina Craig, director of philanthropy, and Brittany Munns, philanthropy coordinator, yesterday on the football field.

Attention musicians! The Carson City Symphony, conducted by David Bugli, will begin rehearsals for the 39th annual Holiday Treat Concert on Wednesday, November 2, 7:00 to 9:15 p.m., at the Carson High School band/orchestra room, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.

The Potter's House Church in Carson City will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Nevada Day, from 4 to 6 p.m. Activities include a bounce house, candy, food truck, games and more.

A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday for suspicion of domestic battery, property damage and simple assault, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report.
