Carson City deputies make arrests for domestic battery, DUI and drugs

A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday for suspicion of domestic battery, property damage and simple assault, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest report.

According to the report, deputies were called to a residence and saw a man run out of the front door screaming and crying. He said his finger was broken. Deputies asked what happened. The man said he and his ex-wife got into an argument. The deputy asked him if anything physical happened. The man said he pushed the woman in the face and that she closed the door on his hand.

The officer asked if he could explain what happened from the beginning. The man stated the woman threw a beer bottle at him. Officers could not find a beer bottle, the report states.

A deputy spoke with the woman who said the man pushed her and that she accidentally closed the door on his hands as he exited the home. Deputies continued the investigation and learned the man had thrown a water bottle at the woman, and that he kicked the back of their car causing property damage. The woman stated she wanted to press charges.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and booked for suspicion of domestic battery, simple assault and destruction of property. Bail amount listed: $4,411.
