Lyon County Manager Jeff Page notified the Board of Commissioners of his intent to retire on Sept. 19, 2022.

Page has served as County Manager since June of 2010. Page has been with Lyon County since 1985 starting as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff. Page worked for the Sheriff’s Office and held a variety of positions until he left in 2006 as a Captain.

A large number of evacuees from the Mosquito Fire in Placer and El Dorado counties in California were allowed back home Sunday. CalFire reports a containment line around 38 percent of the fire, and it is 76,290 acres in size. 3,722 personnel remain assigned to the fire.
