CARSON CITY — Over a decade ago, Partnership Carson City started as an effort to fight the spread of methamphetamine. Now, it has taken on the role of a coalition to support and organize a variety of services throughout Carson City, including educational sessions on how to use naloxone, commonly known as NARCAN, for the treatment of known or suspected opioid overdoses.

The Nevada Tobacco Prevention Coalition brought together experts from throughout the state last month to discuss the dangers of youth vaping, and what parents and other adults can do to protect them from this dangerous and addictive substance.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021 that there are 18 new cases and 12 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 10,816, with 7,375 recoveries and 191 deaths; 3,250 cases remain active.

Snow removal around Carson City is always a challenge, as some areas of the city get more snow than others. For plow drivers the challenge is a three-way street operation.
